Technique and skill-focused classical piano lessons for all ages and levels
About Molly: I have been teaching piano to hundreds of students of all ages and experience levels for 8 years, and since early 2020 adding the option for online lessons. I am also an accomplished singer-songwriter, acoustic guitarist, and live performer, with experience in performing jazz, country, rock, pop, Americana, and much more. My originally written music is professionally recorded and performed for a wide range of audiences. Beginning my career with classical piano lessons at age five, I am a graduate of Drake University with a Bachelor of Music Degree, and now almost 10 years of experience in teaching all levels of piano, from pre-kindergarten to advanced students, kids or adults. The Lessons: I offer fast-paced and fun lessons designed to help the student accomplish their goals by learning and exercising new technical and musical skills at every lesson and play fast, fluent, and confident. I also provide a comfortable environment that can be tailored to each students goals and needs. I am here to help prevent common mistakes and practices, while helping kids and adults concentrate, read music independently and skillfully, and grow in their overall musical knowledge, learning repertoire they enjoy playing and performing. All students learn essential basic technical skills as well as focus on repertoire that is fun fits each students interests and needs. Lessons are in-studio or online via Zoom (or your choice of video conference option)
About Molly B.

I am a classical piano instructor with 8 years of experience teaching kids and adults of all ages and experience levels with in-person and online lessons. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Drake University, specializing in voice and piano, choral music, and jazz performance. From there, I've performed in jazz combos as a vocalist and taught classical piano to hundreds of kids and adults. I am now a country and Americana singer-songwriter, acoustic-guitarist, performer, and recorded artist regularly performing for a variety of audiences. I have studied classical piano and theory since age 5, learning a wide breadth of essential repertoire from a variety of composers and musical eras and genres from extremely knowledgeable teachers who passed along that knowledge for me to share. I've also been trained in piano education technique for several years under many mentors and teachers having improved my craft through hundreds of lessons given consistently through the years. I believe I have a tried-and-true method for teaching proper technique and physical skills to beginning and even experienced players that can help piano playing become a more engaging and successful experience that will instill a sense of accomplishment in anyone who wants to play.
