Oboist Miri K., praised for her "creamy-toned oboe" by Boston Classical Review, and "warm tone and singing like playing" by The Boston Musical Intelligencer. Miri is an active orchestra and chamber musician in Boston, she has appeared in many of acclaimed ensembles in Boston including Boston Pops Orchestra, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra, Boston Musica Viva, ALEA III, Boston Chamber Orchestra, and Boston Civic Symphony. She was the winner of the Boston Woodwind Society Oboe Merit Award Competition 2011, Longy School of Music Concerto Competition 2011, Longy School of Music Honors Competition 2011, 2014. Miri is also establishing her self as a soloist and has performed with Longy Conservatory Orchestra performing the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C major in 2011. She holds Artist Diploma and Graduate Performance Diploma from Longy School of Music of Bard College where she studied with Keisuke Wakao, assistant principal oboist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Bachelor of Education from Saitama University(Japan). She also studied with Takahisa Shinmatsu, and Marco Granados.
