About Michael Z.
A decade after his first performance at Carnegie Hall, Buffalo native Michael Zuber will be joining Ensemble ACJW in the ‘14–15 season. Recently, he was selected to perform a new translation of Igor Stravinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale in Weil Hall as part of Carnegie Hall’s Yale in New York series. Michael has also performed in such notable locations as Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts, the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, and Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General, in Ottawa, Canada. Michael’s travels have taken him to music festivals at The National Arts Centre, Banff, and the American Institute of Musical Studies, in Graz, Austria. Michael received his Bachelor’s degree from the Colburn Conservatory, where he studied with Richard Beene, and his Master’s degree from Yale University, where he studied with Frank Morelli.
note: I am not able to teach clarinet lessons at the Long Island Academy.
