I am 24 years old, a Philadelphia, PA native now living in Los Angeles who is enjoying a career as a performer, writer, teacher, and student of music.
I have a bachelors degree in Jazz Bass Performance from Temple University and am earning my Master's at USC Thornton. I have years of experience playing and teaching other styles of music including classical, rock, Latin, blues, etc. While at Temple, I served as the music theory tutor for 2 years and worked with a blind student every week. I am a patient, encouraging teacher and enjoy finding new and creative ways to help my students succeed. Since 2010, I have taught private lessons and tutored a diverse array of students.
My promise to all students: I will pass on the love for and dedication to music that my teachers gave to me. I will always be ready to give 110% percent in my lessons and expect the same from you. Whether you want to be playing stadiums in 6 months or just want to learn your favorite songs, I will tailor lessons to fit YOUR needs and always give the type of supportive, honest feedback that I think you need.
I like to start off by having the student tell me what kind of music s/he is interested in, what goals (if any) s/he has, and assess how I can best use my experience to help him/her to succeed. I always suggest that students practice every day, whether its for 15 minutes or 5 hours, to get the most out of every lesson.
