Cello with Matthew A.

Matt Armbruster, co-founder of Tetractys New Music, is a cellist who has performed across the United States and Europe. He has appeared with the National Repertory Orchestra, Castleton Festival Orchestra, Icicle Creek Chamber Music Festival, and the Penderecki Academy Orchestra as principal cellist, where he collaborated closely with renowned composer Kryztof Penderecki. He was previously a member of the 2013 San Francisco Academy Orchestra, where he was featured as a soloist in the second performance of Mark Volkert’s Pandora along with principal members of the San Francisco Symphony. Matt made his solo recital debut in Austin at Heller Hall and has performed frequently at the Long Center with the Austin Symphony and the Blanton Museum of Art as a featured artist. He has also been a featured artist presented by the Wiscasset Salon Series and at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. Matt is currently attending UT pursuing his Master's of Music Degree.
