A professional music librarian since 2014, I see a wide variety of music everyday! I currently serve as Assistant Librarian for the San Francisco Symphony, and have also worked in the libraries of the Cincinnati Symphony and Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Music is a language, and developing a strong foundation in those fundamentals will prepare you well for any number of opportunities, both artistically and professionally. Like anything else, I've found that one learns best by getting practical experience. I began my musical life at the piano at 3, and picked up the bass at 7. After years of playing everyday, the bass took me to Indiana for my Bachelor's degree, Montréal for graduate studies, and to experiences onstage across the world, including Carnegie Hall, Disney Concert Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. After graduate school, I began my professional career as a librarian, leading me back to my home state of California. I aim to inspire and empower my students, and help you get to places you may never have dreamed of going to before! My passion lies with classical music, but I love music of all kinds: I grew up listening to rock, pop, funk, and jazz. I look forward to meeting you and helping you become a better musician!
