Teaching since:

Hello! I am an active professional clarinetist in Arizona with a variety of orchestral and chamber music experience. I currently hold the position of 2nd Clarinetist in the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, and I perform as a substitute clarinetist for the Phoenix Symphony. Before moving to Arizona, I was the 2nd Clarinetist in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the E-flat Clarinetist of the Wichita Symphony. I've also performed with the Kansas City Symphony and the Utah Shakespearean Festival. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University, and a Master of Music degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory. As a teacher I encourage individual musical growth through a balance of traditional fundamentals and creative artistry and expression.

Mary has the best sound concept and really teaches how to make a beautiful, expressive tone on the clarinet! She's has a lot of experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. Mary is a wonderful professional musician, and the best teacher you could hope for! I've improved so much from taking lessons with her.
