I have received training in double bass performance from the Colburn School in Los Angeles as well as the Juilliard School here in New York City. I also have experience teaching all levels of student, from someone first time ever holding the instrument to someone looking to pursue a career in double bass performance. I like to make sure that my students are always working on what they are interested in and enjoying the process of improving, so I will try to tailor your lessons to meet your needs and goals.

Mr. Lillie’s solo performance of Bottesini’s Concerto No. 2 for Double Bass earned him first prize in the Boulder High School Concerto Competition and runner-up in the Denver Young Artists Orchestra Concerto Competition.
