I started out playing the bass guitar, then took up the keyboards and guitar, and have maintained proficiency on all three. I attended Cleveland State University where I studied the guitar and piano, and majored in Music Theory and Composition. I have been a musician all my life; playing, composing, recording, and touring, but have been concentrating on teaching for the past 23 years. I have been on the staff of the Broadway School of Music for twenty-three years, and have also taught at Memphis Ridge Music (now Santana Bros Music), the Family Learning Center for Music in Twinsburg,Ohio, the Cleveland Public School system, and at the Beck Center for the Arts. I am currently teaching lessons in my home studio and online.

Great instructor with an obvious wealth of experience and deep knowledge of music theory.
Mark is awesome. My wife and I started taking lessons in our late 30’s. Mark has been awesome, very patient and easy to work with. Scheduling is very easy, and he is very adaptive to your goals and needs.
Mark is a wonderful, patient instructor. I have never played an instrument before and he is very helpful especially with scheduling and planning for lessons. I highly recommend using Mark as an instructor!
