    Hello, there! My name is Maggie, I specialize in classical double bass playing. I've been classically trained at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music for my bachelor's degree and Cleveland Institute of Music for my master's degree. I am currently on the alumni substitute list of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, which I’d been a musician member during the 2019-2021 seasons. I'm a patient and understanding person and I am eager to spread the joy and love of playing the bass! I am knowledgable in different types of bass playing technique and I will tailor my teaching to each student depending on what resonates best with them. In addition to music appreciation, I value the importance of solidifying the fundamentals, technique, ear training, physical well-being, etc., in order to achieve ease in good and fun music playing! I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!

    Maggie is an excellent teacher. She is patient and gives great direction on what to do. I learned a lot in my first 30 minute lesson and I am looking forward to continuing my learning with her.
