I have extensive experience as a professional musician touring the country and as a professional educator in both public & private sectors. I play multiple instruments (woodwind, brass, percussion, string) as well as write songs and compose music. This allows me the ability to uniquely address points of interest from multiple angles. Every student has unique capabilities and experiences, so I try to create the learning environment which best suits their needs. Developing good tone and practice techniques are high priorities. Understanding and motivation are fundamental in each musician's progress and I think it very important to like what you play, to have fun. Grade and age appropriate music materials are key to successful performance and development. I think everyone should learn to play music, especially at a young age where it can play a significant role in a child's education.
