I am one of the harp instructors for UYHE and teach at Drew Charter School.  I teach grades 5-12.

I taught middle school to high school aged students, preparing them for state festivals and solo/ensemble.

I am a freelance harpist, playing gigs ranging from contemporary music to background music and weddings.

I taught lessons to students in London, teaching primarily from the ABRSM syllabus.  I taught young children from aged 4 through adult beginners.

A thorough, solid technique base including scales, and arpeggios.  I include detailed theory work as we progress through scales and pieces.  A wide variety of pieces including lots of individual choice.  I believe it is very important for students to love what they're playing whether it be jazz, pop, classical or hymns.  I am happy to push students as much as they wish depending if they are looking towards a professional career or just playing for fun.

I am a passionate musician who is very active in the Chicago music scene in classical, contemporary and alternative music.  I recently graduated with a degree of Master of Arts in Harp from the Royal Academy of Music as well as with my LRAM teaching certification.  I received my bachelors from the University of Arizona.  I currently am a harp instructor for the Chicago Harp Ensemble and formerly worked with the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble in Atlanta.  I have a wide range of experience in teaching beginners as well as advanced students. I put a strong emphasis on technique and musicianship.
