From Joseph Hunt, former Professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. This is a recommendation for a friend whose musicianship, I hold in high regard. Larry Kukors, is an exciting jazz bassist with whom I often work, playing jazz in Boston clubs. I've had an illustrious jazz career, having recorded my drumming with Stan Getz, Bill Evans, George Russell, and others in NYC and New England. Larry is a serious minded musician who is passionate about his work. He is a skillful bassist who is a natural improvisor. I have little doubt that he would be capable of jazz improvisation instruction online.

Larry is a virtuoso bassist and master improviser who has the ability to make learning musical concepts, whether they be highly advanced or more basic, very accessible and easier to assimilate. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious and will inspire you to want to practice and push yourself to the next level. As a fellow musician (saxophone) who plays regularly with his trio I've learned a lot from gigging and rehearsing with Larry and my own playing has benefitted greatly. If you have some musical experience already and are looking to broaden your harmonic and rhythmic knowledge, or are just starting out I would highly recommend the opportunity to study with Larry!

Although I'm not a student of Larry's, I've performed and shared the stage with him many times over the years. I feel he would be a fantastic teacher for a myriad of reasons. His enthusiasm, dedication, empathy, and passion for both learning and teaching will make him a great choice for your future instructor!
