About Kassandra F.
Kassandra Ferrero began her musical studies at age 5 on piano, 9 on cello, and 10 on double bass. Ms. Ferrero performs regularly as an orchestral and chamber musician as well as teaches throughout the Greater Baltimore area. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and her Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory. She has also studied privately with Craig Brown, Curtis Burris, Kevin Casseday, and John Wieland. During her time at Peabody, she was the recipient of the Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Orchestral Scholarship, which granted her a full tuition during her studies. Kassandra is also an alumna of the Brevard Music Center Orchestras, Chautauqua Institution Festival Orchestra, and the National Repertory Orchestra, where she was awarded the Shaw Breast Cancer and Cancer Center Chair. Ms. Ferrero has played in many master classes for renowned bassists, including Nicolas Tsolainos, Max Dimoff, Rinat Ibragimov, Scott Pingel, and Owen Lee.
