I'm a college student who is pursuing a career in Elementary Education. As a piano teacher I get on the student's level and teach to their unique style of learning.
I've been playing the piano for 15 years, in which the first 9 years I've taken piano lessons. During those years of lessons, I've performed in many of the National Federation of Music Club's Junior Festivals. I was awarded 4 gold cups total for solo and duet piano
performances, based off of receiving superior ratings from judges. I understand the hard work that goes into playing a beautiful instrument such as the piano.
For 1 year and 6 months, I've been formally teaching piano lessons. Although I'm new at teaching piano, I'm very professional with each piano student. I teach students theory, technique, and performance. I teach fun and engaging lessons to keep those children interested in learning. I also like to incorporate practice charts with stickers for positive reinforcement.
I believe that the student's daily practice along with my formal teaching will best help students progress into an amazing musician. If you're wanting your child to learn to play the piano, this will be a great place to start!

Kara is happy, kind, and relates well to my 4 year old. Her positive attitude about piano has rubbed off on my son. He now wants to practice piano several times a day!
I liked playing the songs. It was fun to have a chart and earn prizes. My teacher was nice. I miss Kara.
Kara was a joy for my kids to learn from. They excelled a ton in just the short time that we were lucky to have her here in town. She really helped them to learn the songs, and the different aspects of playing the piano rather than just rushing through. They looked forward to lessons. She has a great way with children, and it brings joy to me to hear mine playing the piano and the improvement they've made.+ Read More
