I started playing the oboe when I was nine and eventually received a Bachelor's in Oboe Performance from Southern Illinois University in 2018. I have lived in Illinois my whole life, but I am moving to Indiana soon after I get married this year! I love teaching students and I have the most experience with very beginners. Like many people, 2020 cause me to have to adjust how I go about teaching; doing lessons online became a much more approachable option by necessity. Now that I am more accustomed to that format, I realized it is a great way to be able to connect with even more people over a love of learning oboe! I have a happy and easy-going personality so I usually get along with everyone! But I still have high standards for your oboe playing that I know I can help you achieve. I continue to perform when I can for my church, weddings, a local orchestra, and any other local ensembles that occasionally need an oboist!
