Personal Bio: Hi, I'm Joel. I'd say that my decision to take piano lessons turned out to be one of the most important things I've ever done. I've made great friends through music and discovered my gifts. I am a 2014 grad of the University of Southern California's "Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television" program. I received my undergraduate degree from College of the Ozarks, where I studied piano performance, theory, composition and orchestration. I have also interned with television composer Mike Post (NYPD Blue, Law and Order SVU). Playing piano has opened up these different opportunities for me. It instills confidence and creativity. Over the years, I wouldn't have succeeded if it weren't for the patience and encouragement of my teachers. They not only taught me how to play, but helped me gain an appreciation for music and its history.
