I taught students from beginner to advanced. Mostly piano with a handful of voice students. I also worked with a youth musical theater workshop. That was fun!
Choir Director

I led the adult choir for some time. We did mostly traditional hymns. What a great group.
Choir Director
May, 2003 - Aug, 2005Boys and Girls Club (United Way)
Young people ages 5 to 13 came in everyday for choir. Each selection was meant to be educational so I included a brief history lesson each time. Over the course of the summer we would journey from classical to modern music.
Music Instructor
Apr, 2003 - Jul, 2005Mid City Workshop
The focus was music overall. We did all kinds of things. Sometimes choir and other times band. We even did Stomp, Step and African Dance. The youth learn an appreciation for a broad array of musical styles and ways to express themselves.
Music Appreciation Presenter
May, 2002 - Jul, 2003Contemporary Arts Museum
Bus loads of kids came in weekly to enjoy a great museum and get a dose of New Orleans culture in the form of art. My job was to teach about the history of Jazz and create some fun opportunities to invite the kids into for the experience of being a musician for the day.
