Hello! My name is Jen and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2003 and have loved helping my students find their singing voice, become more confident in performing, and discover the joy of music! I graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2001 and earned a degree in Vocal Performance. I'm a caring and supportive teacher who is always looking for new ways to inspire and challenge my students. I believe that with a good singing technique, you can sing any style of music. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
Soloist and performer for entertainment company in the Greater Boston area. Frequent performances of all kinds. Requires musical flexibility, engaging the audience, and strong singing skills.
I have worked as a soprano soloist at various churches in the Boston area for Christmas, Easter, and other services.
I conduct a newly-formed and growing community chorus based in Cambridge, MA. I also organized an audience of 1200 Bostonians to attend a major concert in 2014 at the Holy Cross Cathedral of Mozart's Requiem, which featured a chorus of 100+ singers, full orchestra, and professional soloists. I was also the assistant conductor for this concert. Along with conducting, I work on vocal development and music theory with chorus members.
I was the voice teacher for a studio of twelve beginner singing students ranging from ages five to sixteen years of age. I developed a program of appropriate repertoire such as musical theater and simple songs, and the use of musical games for the younger children. As a result, these young people were inspired to continue their musical studies into the future.
