    Born and raised in Memphis, Jennifer is an active soloist, orchestral and chamber musician with a passion for teaching. She has been fortunate to study with some of the best flutists in the world and is committed to passing on to her students what she has learned from her teachers. Her flute studio is open to students of all ages, abilities, and musical backgrounds, from those looking to pursue a career in music to those wanting to learn to play the flute simply for the joy it can bring to everyday life. Jennifer holds music degrees from Middle Tennessee State University (B.M.) and Boston University (M.M.). Her primary teachers include Dr. Deanna Little (MTSU), Ruth Ann McClain, Linda Toote (Boston U.), and Trevor Wye. She also studied in England for two years with legendary flutist and pedagogue Trevor Wye at his studio.

    While in Boston, Jennifer studied the art of teaching as the Boston Flute Academy's Teaching Assistant. She was mentored by flutist Judy Grant as she worked with students of all ages and levels, teaching masterclasses, conducting ensembles, and presenting workshops on a wide variety of topics to students from 5 to 70 years old. Ms. Grant's students can be seen playing in orchestras all over the world and have gone on to study in many of the world's top music colleges.
