Bass Guitar with Jason A.

I am a professional bassist based in the Nashville area. I play bass and am a vocalist in the band Arlie, a group recently signed to Atlantic Records. I have over 11 years of experience playing the bass and 17 years playing other instruments. I currently spend time, when I’m not touring, recording music as a studio musician in the city of Nashville. I have had the opportunity to record in different studios on Music Row. With that, I have played a plethora of different styles of music from rock to jazz to calypso. In the last few years I have spent countless hours performing live music. I have played at many venues and music festivals like SXSW and Bonnaroo across the United States. With years of live music performance, I have learned the ins and outs of performing for different crowds in different settings. My teaching style is one that is focused on creative thinking. I’ve found that learning anything is more interesting and engaging when you get the opportunity to experiment. I will spend time teaching you how to play the bass so you can turn around and create with the instrument.
