I’ve only forgotten the pandemic when I’m playing the banjo with Jared. I crave clear criticism and he gives me the specifics so I can truly improve. Jared has all the qualities you want in an excellent music teacher, but what takes it to the next level for me as a student is his enthusiasm and gentle humor. Highly recommend. —Janette

I knew nothing about the banjo when I started taking classes with Jared, and I learned so much in a short amount of time. He emphasized not just how to read sheet music, but also how to transcribe a song from a recording which helped me learn songs more quickly and play together with others in an ensemble. His passion and patience are a great combo for a teacher!
