I am an artist mixed with an academic; a free spirit with analytical undertones. My educational and professional paths reflect this as I hold degrees in classical voice from Peabody Conservatory as well as Cognitive science and Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins.

Professionally, I have performed with opera companies in New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, West Palm and Arizona. I have also worked as an investment analyst at a atraditional firm with a penchant for hiring artists with academic backgrounds.

I see Alexander technique as a philosophy of everyday living; or, as John Dewey posited "a prerequisite for all other learning".

Today, I still perform as well as agent for intellectuals on the lecture circuit. I make time to teach Alexander as it most challenges--and ironically unites me--physically, emotionally and intellectually. It has infused my life with infinite joy as well as unfathomed potential--such things I wish to help others discover in themselves.

American Center for Alexander Technique

After completing both my supervisory private teaching and my training at ACAT, I have made time to volunteer weekly to help further teach and train the current trainees alongside one of my own senior trainers as a means of continuing learning from him as well as learning through doing (as in teaching!). Working with more advanced students of the technique that are enrolled in teacher training helps me refine my own understanding of the philosophy as well as physical hands-own aspects of working with students as I can try new assists and ideas and get safe, helpful feedback.
