Grant Martin is a Brooklyn, NY based drummer, composer, producer and educator with over 10 years of experience in private education. Originally from Houston, TX, Grant first started teaching lessons at the Houston Percussion Center, the very same drum shop he grew up going to, while studying Classical Percussion at the University of Houston. After several years of developing his teaching curriculum Grant then broke off to start his own teaching studio with students ranging from young beginners, to college students in university music programs, to adults looking to follow a life long dream. Grant relocated to Brooklyn in 2014 to finish his degree at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, after a stint in Boston studying at Berklee College of Music, and is now active as a producer (utilizing Ableton and Pro Tools), studio musician and teacher. Grant is always excited for opportunities to meet new students and share his knowledge with future musicians!
