I like to focus on technique, sound, and theory. Each student is different and we will start by assessing individual needs.

I have been playing violin for almost 30 years. My parents are both music educators. I studied with an ASU professor for four years. I am also a certified elementary teacher.

Genie is extremely patient and a natural teacher. She has met my young daughter right where she is and is teaching her step by patient step!

While I have not had the pleasure of taking lessons with Genie, I wanted to write a review, as she was the violinist for our wedding. Genie was prompt in returning all communication with me, and extremely professional in all correspondence. We decided to only have Genie as our music during the ceremony, as her talent was so beautiful, we didn't want to risk adding more music on top of her solo. 

Genie allowed us to pick our own music, but provided her own insight. She was very patient with our selection, and very knowledgeable with her recommendations. 

Genie arrived early, and was dressed professionally and perfect for the occasion. She quietly set up, and was well-prepared with additional music to play as guests were seated. We had so many compliments regarding her playing, and I wish I had an ounce of her talent. 

I would recommend her for any lessons, as what I encountered during our time together is that she is friendly, patient, and professional. Thank you Genie, for making our wedding so special.
