Experienced, educated, Jazz bassist,  teacher, performer with 20 + years performing composing and teaching, specializing in assessing and quickly improving your level of upright bass playing! 

I also help with learning the ins/outs of the music biz if that's of interest to you. 

Every lesson is recorded and then uploaded for you to review forever.

My music studio is also a small performance space and, once a quarter, my students will have the opportunity to perform live with a professional group.  Think of it as a jazz recital! (or... a gig!)

What will you learn?

Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and more.

Ron Carter, John Patitucci, Homer Mench, Curtis Lundy, Lisle Atkinson, and a host of others...
I spent many years performing and teaching in New York City.
