Clarinetist Fei Wang (Kevin) is an active performer and teacher, and pursuing a diverse career as a chamber musician, orchestra musician, soloist, and teacher. Acclaimed for his performances with clarinet, he has appeared in music venues across North America, European and China. Fei Wang has been featured at von Kuster Hall, Paul Davenport Theatre, Liege Philharmonic Hall, Royal Conservatory of Brussels Concert hall, Monaco music hall of Liege, Sichuan Conservatory Grand Hall, China, Etc.
Fei Wang’s primary teachers include Dr. Jana Starling, Professor Jean Pierre Peuvion, and Professor Gang Xu. Also, He has performed and worked for many master classes, including those giving by Robert Spring, Nathan Williams, Robert Riesling, Peter Stoll, Wesley Ferreira, Lisa Oberlander, Vincenza Casale, and Fang Song.
Fei Wang has participated in many music competitions, such as Maritsa Brookes Concerto Competition (Final Round) 2012; The London Music Scholarship Foundation Competition (Final Round)2013; Switzerland Geneva International Music 2007, Geneva; Yamaha clarinet International Competition (Final Round, honorable mention) 2003.
Fei Wang received his M.Mus. in Clarinet performance and literature from Western University(UWO) Canada; one year studying as transfer student in Conservatory royal de liege, Belgium, and his Bachelor of Music Degree (B.M.) is from his hometown, Sichuan Conservatory of Music, China.
As a private clarinet teacher, Fei Wang is much experienced in teaching, and his studio has very different age stages and large age span from age 4 years old to over 70 years old students. His clarinet teaching philosophy is to impart a thorough understanding of how to play the instrument in order to maximize results in practice.
