I try to make teaching fun for people. I have studied with some real great teachers in 
Chicago, New York and the San Francisco Bay Area and their knowledge of music has been passed along to them and myself from some of the great masters. Classical Music and Jazz are my passion but I have played all kinds of music. I began playing professionally in the Chicago area at 16. Music and the piano have been my passion for the last 40 years and I look forward to sharing it with all my students.

I have over 40 years of teaching experience. I started playing professionally at age 16 in the 
Chicago area and began studying jazz and classical music at age 5. I studied jazz with Alan Swain in Evanston, Illinois and classical piano with Herman Shapiro. I continued my studies with Herman Mosbacher in New York City at the Mannes School of Music. I have a degree in music from Cal State East Bay
