Hello, I'm David. I've spent the last 8 years living in Austin, TX where I have been teaching privately and working as a band director in Austin ISD. I received a bachelor's degree in music studies and a Texas Teaching Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin where I studied tuba and euphonium performance, instrumental conducting, and instrumental pedagogy. With my years of classroom and private teaching, I am able to create meaningful learning experiences for my students and give them the necessary tools they will need to be successful.

David has a unique musical background that makes him the perfect teacher. He is certified from the University of Texas music department and the the profession of rock and roll. His street credentials from being a rocker get kids excited about learning the "classical" stuff.

David Hinojosa is the best bass guitar teacher. He knows all the fundamentals and theory behind the technique of bass and taught me so much about the instrument. David just has the knack for teaching, always keeping it very respectful and professional. He challenged me and always expects the best. Also, he tailors lessons to my goals and style. I wanted to play some Blink-182, so he learned the songs and taught me! If you want to really "understand", and not just "play" bass, David is your guy. I can't recommend him enough.
