Classical Piano with Danielle M.

I'm a classically-trained pianist with over twenty-years of playing experience. I've taught students since I was in high school and currently work as a 6th grade homeroom teacher at a pre-k-8th grade school. I run a music club where I teach students how to read music, play, and compose their own music. Unlike many classically-trained pianists, I've also played in a variety of rock bands and enjoy improvising as well as composing music. I believe in not only teaching my students how to play music but how to feel music and how to write their own music. Music is first and foremost a creative venue and I work to hone my students' creativity in our music lessons. However, along with creativity, I stress discipline, technique, and diligence, as all are needed to make a great musician.
