Learn Violin From an Expert Violinist
Do you want to play your favorite song? Are you just beginning to play violin or are you picking it up again after years of it gathering dust? Are you hoping to expand your self-expression? I can help you with that. I have 13 years of training as a classical violinist, many years of experiences in orchestral playing, two years as a touring musician in a gypsy jazz/jug band, and two years of experience teaching children with special needs. I can teach any age of beginner or intermediate student. I will make it fun for you to learn and also give you the knowledge you need in ear training, scales, and sight reading that will make you an excellent violinist. I also have experience adding violin to pop and rock music. Let's do it!
About Cooper B.

I am a professional musician and music teacher in Los Angeles. I've been writing, recording, and performing as a musician since I was 5. I play in a local rock/pop band as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and song writer. I have experience in classical, bluegrass/gypsy jazz, rock and pop musical stylings. My songwriting is roundly recognized as being top tier. I grew up taking classical violin lessons and playing in orchestras. I began singing and playing guitar when I was 12 and have been in bands ever since. I have sung in two a cappella groups, one of them in an award winning, collegiate group. I graduated from the the University of Oregon with a degree in Philosophy and took two years studying Vocal Music Performance at Portland State University before moving to Los Angeles. I also spent two years working as a paraeducator in the Portland Public School District, helping to instruct students with special needs. I've toured in rock and gypsy jazz bands and have been writing rock/pop music for many years. I can teach songwriting, violin, guitar, voice, and piano. Students will have fun and grow as musicians each week. To me, music is passion and I love to help people connect to that emotion as well as to improve their skills. I am highly observant and communicative.

I can’t believe I stumbled onto a jewel like Cooper. I played the flute for 2 years while in grammar/junior high school. Wanted to learn the violin thereafter but it never happened until some 40 years later. Cooper has a wealth of knowledge that he imparts kindly to me. I’m so happy I found him!

I’ve worked with Cooper in studio and seen him perform on stage countless times. He is a prolific and multi-dimensional songwriter adept at writing and performing in a wide range of musical styles. To add to that, he is one of the best stage performers I’ve seen. I highly recommend taking lessons from him!

Highly recommend. “The pupil gets to be the star, Cooper Bombadil helps that star shine.” I asked Cooper Bombadil if I could write a review/reference for him because I was impressed with his abilities to instruct while allowing my songwriting creativity and vision to be held as valid. He built trust and gently augmented but never overshadowed my work. Through encouraging examination of my progress, he illuminated and clarified the project rather than tailoring it to fit his own agenda. This is a gift that should be shared to others with musical aspirations! His sensitivity, insights and solid suggestions helped me achieve a goal that had lain dormant for ten years. I am beyond satisfied with his songwriting instruction services and plan on exploring his vocal coaching! Linda Faye Carson Singer-Songwriter
