Hey there - I’m the English Hornist and Second Oboe with the Atlanta Opera. I live just north of Atlanta and freelance across the Southeast US. I’ve been teaching private lessons for eight years, and I’m always looking for new students! I enjoy teaching all ages and ability levels. It doesn't matter if you're in middle school or if you're a retiree looking for something new - I'm here to help you achieve your goals. As a teacher, I always try to align with your personal objectives and will strive to push you to heights you didn't know you could achieve! Whether you're learning the oboe as a hobby, or if you're preparing for an important audition, I will give you the tools you need to succeed.

A bit more about me: I have a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a Performance Diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I studied under Russ deLuna and Eugene Izotov. During my graduate studies, I regularly performed with the San Francisco Symphony.

About Christina G.

I am the newly tenured Second Oboe and Solo English Horn of the Atlanta Opera. During my graduate studies, I was a regular guest Principal and Second oboe with the San Francisco Symphony. While not working in Georgia, I freelance extensively throughout the Southeastern United States and maintain a private teaching studio virtually and in the Atlanta area. In addition to playing with various symphonic groups, I have also played in the orchestra for more contemporary groups like The Who, Il Divo, and Andrea Bochelli.

In 2016, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Oboe Performance from Florida State University, where I studied under Dr. Eric Ohlsson. I then went on to obtain a Professional Studies Diploma in Oboe Performance from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. While at the San Francisco Conservatory, I received primary instruction from Russ deLuna, English Horn of the San Francisco Symphony, with secondary instruction from the Principal Oboist of the San Francisco Symphony, Eugene Izotov.
