Whether you're brand new to fiddling or have decades of experience, I'd love to support you on your musical path. I specialize in teaching traditional fiddle styles by ear to folks of all ages and levels. I teach styles including Bluegrass, country, Texas-style, Western swing, swing, and oldtime. My sole teaching focus is fiddling. My mission is to pass on traditional acoustic genres with authenticity, all the way down to each bow pattern. I teach fun, sequential fiddle tunes to hone your abilities and develop new skills. My method emphasizes the nuances that make you sound like a real deal fiddler (not a classical player). Whether your goal is to fix bad technique habits, play at your first jam session, or grow your repertoire, I'm here to help. I have extensive experience working with all ages and levels, from brand-new beginners all the way through advanced fiddlers. Whether you've played for a day or a decade, you'll find a clear path to your musical goals (and musical joy!) in our lessons together. About me: I'm a lifelong fiddler and performer with 12+ years of teaching experience. I'm honored to be a 5-time national champion at the National Old Time Fiddle Contest, the 2023 RockyGrass Fiddle champion, the 2019 Walnut Valley Old Time Fiddle champion, a two-time Rocky Mountain Regional Fiddle Champion, and a multiple-time Colorado State fiddle champion. Some of my students have gone on to win state and national titles themselves.
