I'm a guitarist based out of Cleveland, OH. I teach and perform in a variety of genres including classical, jazz, rock, folk, and blues. I have over 10 years of experience teaching guitar to students of all ages and abilities. I'm currently a teaching artist for the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society and assistant director of the Cleveland Guitar Orchestra. Before moving to Cleveland, I was a faculty member at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, where I taught classical and jazz guitar. In 2009, I won first place at the UL Friends of Music Classical Guitar Competition and was the recipient of the Richard Neiheisel Phi Beta Kappa Endowed Graduate Award.
I've been fortunate enough to perform in many master classes with prominent guitarists such as Roland Dyens, Ana Vidovic, and Adam Holzman. I've performed as a soloist with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and the Coast Guard Dixieland Jazz Band. Earlier this year, I released my debut solo album “Control Freak."
I was born in Michigan and raised in Springfield, VA. I hold a master’s degree in guitar performance from UL Lafayette and a bachelor’s degree in music from The College of William and Mary. I currently live in Cleveland Heights with my wife where I perform in a variety of genres and teach private lessons.
