Belinda has garnered an international presence playing the oboe and English horn to a wide range of audiences throughout the US, South America and Europe. She has engaged audiences as an orchestral and chamber musician and has developed a strong musical profile with her diverse range of recorded music. Belinda has enjoyed her experiences playing both the oboe and English horn that have toured across the Americas and Europe. She made her European debut at the Edinburgh festival when Maestro Carlos Prieto conducted the Orchestra of the Americas in an August 2018 broadcast performance of Aaron Copland's Symphony No. 3, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 and Carlos Chavez' Sinfonia India. Additionally, Belinda has performed with the Houston Symphony, Houston's ROCO Chamber Orchestra, Ann Arbor's Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and members of the Metropolitan Opera in a performance of Mozart 41 and Mozart Violin Concerto in NYC. While in a residency with the 2017 Orchestra of the Americas in Frtullar Chile, Belinda recorded a CD with grammy nominated Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero. Released in September 2019 with Orchid Classics, the CD features Montero's very own Latin Concerto. Other recordings include works by Copland and Chavez on Pan-American Reflections with Linn Records. Belinda recorded Ingalf Dahl's Concerto for Alto Saxophone with Timothy McCalister and the University of Michigan Symphony Band, and an album of songs by Czech composer Vitezslava Kaprolova with the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kenneth Kiesler. Belinda is a recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Belinda earned her master’s degree from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in 2020, where she performed in the Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, the Modular Ensemble Framework, and Hear & Now new music. She completed her Bachelors’ degree in Oboe Performance at the University of Michigan and graduated with top academic honors in 2016. Belinda's major teachers include Eugene Izotov, Robert Atherholt, Pedro Diaz, and Nancy Ambrose King. Born and raised in Belle Harbor, NY, Belinda is currently an active freelancer in the New York City area. She has recently moved back to the east coast from the Bay Area where she has spent the past few years performing with ensembles such as the San Francisco Symphony, Houston Symphony, Santa Cruz Symphony, Sacramento Philharmonic, California Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, Santa Rosa Symphony, Oakland Symphony, and Opera San Jose.
