I've been teaching privately and in group settings for 5 years. My philosophy is to foster an appreciation for music first and foremost while building a solid technical foundation. My job is to give the student the tools they need to succeed, and to be a positive role model. I grew up learning the Suzuki Method and practiced it for about 10 years, so I have a very strong background in that method. I have also taught non-suzuki students.

Hi! My name is Anna and I have been living in Chicago since 2014. I completed my Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance degree and a minor in Performing Arts Management at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and my Master of Music in Violin Performance degree at DePaul University. I am a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, as well as a full time Strings Teacher at St. Benedict Preparatory Academy. I maintain an active freelance career and private students as well.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the student that will foster a love and appreciation for music first and foremost. I aim to give the student the technical tools they need to express themselves musically.

I wanted to write another review, and say how great a teacher Anna is! In just a month I can already play a few songs, and constantly learning new things. I definitely recommend her!

She was a wonderful teacher!! Very nice and teaches very well! She gives you things to work on at home so you can practice in between lessons. I 100% recommend her!
