Upright Bass with Andrew E.

Hi, I'm Andrew. Thanks for checking me out! I'm a mostly classical double bass player with a bachelors of music education from The University of Southern Mississippi. I've been playing the bass since I was in fifth grade and have been teaching privately on and off since high school. My most recent teaching experience was this past year working for the Plano School District (near Dallas, Texas) as a private bass teacher. I also build and repair violins for a living. I'm currently working at Johnson Strings, once of the largest violin shops in the country. Depending on the age and needs of my students my teaching style can vary widely. I always try to let the students desires guide the lessons since students are more likely to practice and learn when they feel personally connected to the music they are working on.
