I am an "out-of-the-box" learner which makes me a teacher who can teach anyone...any level...any style...any age...and I do it with a joy for music.  To me, the most important factor for success is PLAYING, not studying.  From the first lesson, my students will play beautiful music to inspire their love of the instrument and to create an enthusiasm for learning to play.  The best way to learn to play the violin is to play.  Sure, scales and studies are important as is technique, but the majority of new violin students will lose interest if they aren't loving the music they make.  I have taught Suzuki to 5 year olds...I have taught senior citizens who always wanted to play...and I have taught folks who played in high school but haven't played since then.  I also specialize in teaching people with special educational needs and physical challenges.  I want everyone to experience the joy that I do when I play.

I am a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and Lynn Conservatory.  I teach both Violin and Viola.  I teach individual lessons, group lessons, and chamber groups...and I also am available to coach students for State and Regional Orchestra Auditions...and School Orchestra Seating Auditions.   I welcome students of all ages, all levels, and I welcome students with special needs  I have taught classical violin and have pre-certification in Suzuki.  I have studied the violin and viola for 14 years and look foward to sharing the joy of music with you.
