Alejandro is an active performer in the Washington DC area. Alejandro has performed with many ensembles such as the Mobile Symphony, the Gulfcoast Symphony,the Pensacola Symphony, the USM Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, Orquesta de Filarmonica del Caribe of Baranquilla, Colombia and the Barranquilla Symphony.
Alejandro was a member of the Gulfport Schools string faculty. Also, Alejandro has served as assistant conductor of the Southern Miss Youth Orchestra, chamber music coach for Festival South Music Academy, Music Director of Batuta Atlantico in Baranquilla, Colombia and Violin/ Viola teacher at the Alvin Schutmmat Music School of Baranquilla.
Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Music degree and a Master of Music from the University of Southern Mississippi.. His principal teachers have included Hsiaopei Lee, Peter Neubert, Tomás Fajardo, Michael Kimber, Roberto Valdes and Jairo Guarin.

Alejandro has been teaching my kids violin for several months now. Choosing him as my kids' violin teacher was a great decision. 1. He is incredibly patient and kind with the kids (offers the perfect amount of encouragement). 2. He holds them accountable and expects a lot out of them (in a reasonable kind of way). 3. He teaches well. He has a way of making complicated concepts easier to understand. 4. He is an all around wonderful person. 5. Every now and then he will play his own violin and it is just beyond heavenly. My kids listen to him play and are inspired to work hard (Make sure you have him play a little on the first lesson...you won't regret it!) 6. He is reliable, always on time, always professional, and his rate is worth every cent.
My kids (5 and 8) have made incredible progress working with Alejandro. He is an amazing violin teacher!!!

Alejandro is an excellent violin teacher to my kids (8 and 5). He is very patient and encouraging to them. He gives them clear assignments that they can work on through the week. I was hesitant to have my 5 year old son start violin because I didn't know if he would be able to understand what to do. But, Alejandro breaks everything down and has him work at an appropriate pace that is doable and very satisfying for my little guy. Alejandro began their first lesson by playing a beautiful song on his violin (he is extremely talented!). Hearing the beautiful music that can be made got my kids so excited to learn violin!

Excellent violin instructor. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the instrument. His orchestra background has been a huge plus, and he always goes the extra mile to help the student, motivate them, and allow them to reach their potential.
