Teaches students:
Ages 5+ and special needs

Teaching since:

I teach gospel piano and beginner piano, flute, chess and English/ESL.

Use your ears, use your fingers and all the other gifts God gave you to assist during your local worship service. I come from a long line (4 generations) of church musicians. I trained classically on piano and flute - and can teach the basics for both instruments across genres. I have also been a journalist for The Associated Press (gotta have a day job!). And have done grant writing work for nonprofits. I can help you improve your English writing and speaking skills. And I love to play chess (gotta have a hobby!). But when it comes to Gospel - you need a little theory and a lot of heart and soul to develop your musical ear! Come join me at my storefront church or we can meet up online. After you get the scales and common chord structures down, you'll be ready to go!

Broadcast Music Inc. was founded in 1939 by forward-thinkers who wanted to represent songwriters in emerging genres, like jazz, blues and country, and protect the public performances of their music. Operating on a non-profit-making basis, BMI is now the largest music rights organization in the U.S. and is still nurturing new talent and new music.

Playing and singing the Gospel at the storefront church!! It's a simple style, but effective and easy to learn :-)
