Acosta Music Studio focuses on beginning piano, brass (trumpet and trombone), and general music knowledge. The student will be guided through the basics of learning note names, basic note values (rhythm), and simple time signatures. Then he or she will learn each of the scales and key signatures while more difficult note values and time signatures are incorporated. Abigail has been playing piano and trombone for 15+ years, and started playing the trumpet over 10 years ago. She has also dabbled with the accordion. In high school, she studied under an accomplished classical teacher from the Ukraine, and passed her Trinity-Guilhall grade five exam with distinction. In university, she continued her musical training through private piano lessons, the school orchestra (in which she played trombone), chorale, and private voice lessons.
