Self time to learn something new and relaxing. Knitting has been part of my life for over 25 years. I love to teach others something new and and bring them to a place of refreshing rest as they create. Adult Beginners and Intermediate levels are welcome.
About Melisa
I love to teach. I first learned to knit as a 21 yr old that decided to move to Norway from Kentucky to be with my boyfriend after I graduated from college. My mother-in-law taught me how over 35 years ago. Knitting is a great way to relax, it is repetitious so it is great for those with anxiety

I offer patient guidance and encouragement. I see knitting as a process of growth and development- moving forward at a pace that the student is comfortable as we cultivate confidence and technique.
About Kim
I am a hoarder - most notably of yarn and can be seen knitting or crocheting in 90 degree weather. I began my craft journey as a child when i was taught Crochet by the other woman in my fathers life. I learned to knit later - but I would hone both these skills well into adulthood looking for a way

I love knitting, enjoying making a huge variety of items using many different techniques. I knit using the English style, having grown up in Cheshire, England, but also knit using the Continental style of knitting too. I have been teaching knitting in groups and on a one to one basis for a few years. My students have ranged in age from 8 years old to 80 years old.
If you need help with a specific project, learning a new technique or just starting out as a beginner knitter, please get in touch.
About Jane
I love hand crafts and was attracted to hand knitted items from an early age. I'm a qualified elementary school teacher, having taught both in London and Boston. I have also worked with high school students and adults in museum education, having a masters in Museum and Gallery Education. I love kn

I have a LOT of patience! All you need is the desire to learn to knit. If you never have knitted before, I will get you knitting. If you want to learn, but believe you can’t learn because someone told you can’t learn to knit, I will prove that you can knit. If you have knitted a long time ago, but forgot all of it or most of it, I will bring it back to you. If you already know the basics of knitting, but don’t know how to get beyond the simple knitted squares and rectangles, I can get you to the next level. If you know knitting basics, but gave up because you make a lot of mistakes, I will show you how to fix mistakes, so that mistakes don’t become traumatic. If you know the basics, but want to learn a different technique such as color work, cables, lace, or more, I can teach you. Do you have trouble reading patterns or charts, I can take the mystery out of them.
Because of COVID-19, I only teach online for now. I use Zoom for my teaching platform only. Please get familiar with ...

I looked up online lessons because the quarantine had started and I had purchased a sweater pattern that I really wanted to make, and thought i should be able to accomplish. Many people on Ravelry had complained about the pattern's shortcomings -- some had given up on it, though the people that did complete it, had great results - over 95 people posted pictures of their results, though some aren't quite like the advertised picture. I really wanted to make that sweater though, so I thought it was time to get some real lessons, and found Amy. The way she talked me through the pattern and other patterns, I totally got how to look at patterns and think about them. She lets you know her thought process so you can think it through yourself. Now, when i rip something out to do something over, it's not because i don't know what i'm doing so much as i now know what i'm trying to accomplish. The sweater is almost done and btw, looks just like the picture!! I've realized that it's a great idea to tell Amy whatever i'm thinking and she will give the best advice. Oh, and from the first lesson, she got me getting straight edges easily (now, it makes so much sense but at the time it seemed like a fluke whenever i had a straight edge!)
