Karen is a meticulous teacher. She explains lessons in an accessible manner and gives you hands on experience under her direction. She takes time to ensure the student's understanding and proficiency before progressing. She is patient and kind. She was extremely flexible in scheduling our lessons. I learned to crochet and the basics of getting started, how to read patterns, supplies needed and much more. I love that I am now proficient at my new hobby thanks to such a wonderful teacher. Thank you Karen!

AWESOME I so enjoy working with Karen! In advance of today’s lesson, we coordinated re work on a summer shawl Project. We both thought a summer shawl addressing those summer air conditioned restaurants was a good project for folks like me that travel a bunch and need take along projects. With Karen’s guidance in mind, I bought gthe yarn. Then Karen showed me 6-9 different shawls she’s made so I could pick target shawl pattern that wasn’t above my ability and appealed to me. I’m now on my way; 3+Rows in and feeling confident of noteworthy progress til next session.
Beth
Encouraging, supportive, first class instructor. I signed up for lessons after I realized the kit I bought was above my knowledge level. It's been an awesome experience. I am more confident in reading instructions and making the (pattern specified) numerous different stitches. F2F lessons is the best; its been an awesome experience. I will take more lessons from Karen - she's just that good; a real gem for "take lessons".

Knitting is a wonderful skill! From the practical -- such as scarves, sweaters, or socks -- to the artistic, learning to knit gives you a hobby that reduces stress, gives the ability to make your own gifts, and even earn a little pocket money! I have been knitting for over 20 years and selling my knitted creations for about 10 years. I can get you started with knitting!

As we took a childbirth class from Christelle, you might say we took one of the most important classes in our lives from her! We honestly believe if we had not taken her class we would not have had nearly so positive an experience in natural childbirth, so much credit is due to her. Christelle prepared thoroughly for all our lessons, included interesting activities and personal anecdotes. Most importantly, Christelle made it clear that she cared not only about our grasp of the content but also about us as people. That made all the difference.

Christelle is very knowledgeable and personal at the same time. I like how she can draw a lot from her personal experience as well.

As with crocheting, I can teach a range of students, from those with the beginning desire to learn to students wishing to hone specific techniques. My favorite techniques include in the round and double pointed needles, because who doesn't want to learn to avoid more sewing?

About Rhiannon

My name is Rhiannon and I am a third generation crafter. Originally I went to school for art history, all the while crafting. Eventually I had enough of studying other people's work and instead wanted to make my own and empower others to do the same. I consider myself to be the "Swiss Army Knif

I'm enjoying my classes. I've been bringing Rhiannon stitches I want to learn without any notice, and she is always able to help me on the spot to learn them. Her flexibility (both in what I want to learn and in scheduling) makes private classes a pleasant and worthwhile investment. Highly recommend!

"Angela and I talked about what I wanted to accomplish with these lessons. We talked about what my current skills are and what I needed to learn sock knitting.
For my first class we started on my socks. I got set up and I went home with my “homework” and a sense of accomplishment. I am on my way to finish my first pair!"
