Hello, my name is Brandie and I specialize in teaching beginner/intermediate photography. I enjoy teaching this subject to those new to the field or those that want to further their hobby. My focus is on fine art photography so I am well rounded in the use of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for post-processing. Photography is an art form and can be utilized in countless ways. Once you master the basics, you can walk away with the confidence to photograph in any setting.
Color, composition, camera settings and of course post processing. I am also highly skilled in photomanipulation and composite work if that is an area you'd like to work on. Photography should be fun, challenging and rewarding, we can bring all three to the classroom to reach your full potential.
I have been a professional photographer for over 9 years and graduated with a degree in photography in 2012. I have a passion for what I do and love to share all the knowledge and experiences I've had over the years. I have a studio west of Chicago that can be used to demonstrate lighting and te

As a photographer, I like to think that I’m efficient at finding the holy grail of documentary photography, the “decisive moment” – every single time. I’ve been perfecting my photojournalistic style for decades and reached the point where the skill of “blending in”, becoming ubiquitous yet invisibl

I want to help you to become a better artist and have fun while you’re doing it! My style of teaching is to tell you about powerful ways to approach your drawings that will boost your technical ability as fast as possible. In other words, I’m going to help you to make your art look like the thing you’re drawing. But I won’t rush you through it! We’ll take as long as you need to get a good understanding of the most important aspects of the lesson. We can focus on what you are most interested in learning about. Want to learn how to draw faces better? Or maybe improve your proportions for drawing a full body person? Pets, landscapes, still life, it’s your choice because I work for you. Each of these are unique subjects, but there are certain fundamentals that apply to all of them which I will help you with to give your drawings more of a “pop out” look! Some of those things are learning to see values (light and dark), negative space, and how angles and relationships of different elements
I want to help you make huge leaps in your skills to become a better artist than you even thought was possible! Whatever you want to create, you can do it! Private lessons can save a lot of time and keep you on the right path for your personal individual needs, where ever you are on your way to be
