Acting is such a broad term! What are your goals? Do you want to be in films? Do you want to do Shakespeare? Do you want to be in a sit com? Depending upon what your interests are and where you want to go, we will build a plan together. My philosophy on acting techniques is that they are tools to help you, not tests you pass if you're a good actor and fail if you're a bad one. Different techniques work for different people and it is our job to find out what inspires you.

I've had a book published and have written for a multi-national newspaper. I also got A grades right up until I finished college with English and Creative Writing. My style of teaching is very relaxed and informal, I want students to feel they can be equals with me, and gain confidence and be proud of their work. I set homework but I also encourage students to get creative in their own time and to show initiative! The most rewarding thing is that with writing, you can nowadays find so many outlets for your work - the sky's the limit!
Lessons can involve looking at literature and different styles of writing, as well as finding something that sparks the imagination and interest. I work especially well with young teens and pre-teens, as well as those who are looking to further their writing skills.

I teach in a very context-based, interactive way. I don't believe that rote memorization is an effective tool for language learning, so I create games and scenarios for my students to apply the information that they learn in a fun and exciting way. I create a study set for each of my student's lessons and share them with them for their at-home studying.
