Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 19 years, singing for 25, and playing piano for 20 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I am currently a member of Trip City Lights, an LA local funk/soul band, where I provide lead and backing vocals. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingles, choruses, and songs (covers and originals). I have also composed/arranged various pieces for ensembles, bands, vocal groups, choirs,
plays, musicals, commercials, etc. I've worked with folks locally in LA, and all over the world. I love what I do!
History has always fascinated me. The way our world has developed and changed and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.
Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 10 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!
Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!
I've been crocheting for 15 years and I've never had a student leave a lesson unhappy. Within the first hour or so, you'll be able to do the basics of a chain and a single crochet and as time goes on you' will be able to make almost anything and read patterns. I specialize in crochet toys, but have also made blankets, hats, booties, art installations, etc. You will require yarn and a hook for your lessons. If you wish to practice at home you can purchase both of these in most craft stores for under $5. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
Hi! My name is Monica and I'm excited to meet you! I've been crocheting since 2000 and have loved helping my students learn a new relaxing hobby. Most of my students learn and are comfortable with the basics within the first hour. I'm a patient and kind person and my teaching style is relaxed, positive, and supportive. I look forward to getting you hooked on crochet.
I'm a former officer of the New York City Crochet Guild, and a current member of the Crochet Guild of America, a national organization dedicated specifically to crochet. I'm also a Craft Yarn Council Certified Crochet Teacher for over a decade; I earned my certificate and pin by donating hours to teach seniors. I learned the basics from my Mom, for whom I continue to crochet in her honor.
We will begin with a skills assessment and start with a basics refresher to get you back up to speed in no time, offering encouragement and lots of tips, tricks and tidbits along the way.

Since my Nan (grandma for you Non-Brits), showed me how to knit and my childhood best friend Laura introduced me to crochet my hobby has turned into a full-on obsession. I love to create colourful, unique squishy goodness and teach my obsession to others. Crochet is a very adaptable craft and can be used to make all kinds of interesting things from a simple scarf to the Japanese craft of amigurumi. With my classes I aim to help everyone explore their creativity. You will be crocheting your own wardrobe in no time!
I own a local small crochet business selling womens accessories and crochet patterns. I have now been knitting for 20 years and crocheting for 12. "Myself and a co-worker spent 3 lunch hours with Rhiannon learning the basics of crochet. Rhiannon taught us the various stitches and patiently worked wit
h us until we were comfortable with each one. She also directed us to an online resource to support her instruction that we could refer to as needed. This was our first online lesson of any kind and we were extremely happy with what we learned and the convenience of learning it online. Thank you Rhiannon. :)"
"very helpful, patient, and was very encouraging to me. I will use her again,"
"Didn't think this would be something fun to do but, after taking the class my perspective changed and I found some excitement on creating something with y
arn. Cheryl is a magnificent teacher and sure knows how to break this skill down so even a guy can do it. Thanks for all your help!!!!!"

"This crochet studio and teacher is soooo nice! I have been to three other locations, the teachers there didn't seem to be capable of what they were doing,
and there studio set up made me feel as if I was about to get robbed. This classroom made me feel comfortable with a homely like setting. looking forward to taking more classes. Her teaching technique is great!"
"I so enjoy my lessons with Cheryl, and I look forward to each lesson. She is a wonderful instructor! I am learning to crochet finally, and she is great
and helping you understand the stitches and instructions."
"Encouraging, supportive, first class instructor. I signed up for lessons after I realized the kit I bought was above my knowledge level. It's been an aw
esome experience. I am more confident in reading instructions and making the (pattern specified) numerous different stitches. F2F lessons is the best; its been an awesome experience. I will take more lessons from Karen - she's just that good; a real gem for "take lessons"."
"Excellent teacher very patient, I felt really comfortable. Made me just want to get started on the next project."
