Visual Communications from Los Angeles Valley College
Hello fellow students!
My name is Anabel, I am a professional photographer in Los Angeles, California. I photograph a variety of subjects, from pets to Grammy-nominated musicians, and everything in-between! I am well versed in studio photography and on-location outdoor work, and can help you learn to make the most of any location and subject matter.
Being self-taught, I believe that I have an entirely different approach to education; one that sits well with aspiring photographers, especially those that are disappointed in traditional (as in, college and university) photographic education. WATERCOLOR PAINTING LESSONS
Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. A Complete List of Painting Supplies that every Beginning Watercolor Painter needs
1. Favorite brands Daniel Smith Water-Soluble Oil Paints & Mediums, and Holbein Duo Aqua Water Soluble Oil
2. Proper Painting Brushes
I‘d suggest six total in a range of sizes: two size 2 brushes, two size 6 brushes, and two size 12 brushes. One of each pair should be a flat brush (with a squared-off brush tip) and the other should be a filbert brush (with a slightly rounded tip).
3. Newspaper
4. A charcoal pencil
5. A “palette”
6. Comfortable, messy clothes
7. A painter’s easel
8. Canvas (or other painting surface)
9. Water ...

Upon arrival he asked great questions to understand our level of experience with acrylic painting, and walked us through tutorials on techniques before we started the main topic. Then during the lesson he was patient and adaptable as my girlfriend and I expressed our individual art styles.
