My name is Krystal T., and I am a published singer/songwriter/ and actor from South Florida. I have performed in multiple theater, film, and commercial productions. I have music engineering experience with Ableton. Along with singing and acting, I also play guitar, and ukulele. My singing lessons include, vocal warmups & daily exercises, and vocal history. My intention is to assist and guide my students so they can achieve their goals. (I ask my students to write 3-5 goals they wish to achieve while working with me) All is possible and there is no limit once you have your mindset focused on success.
Hey there!! My name is Jameson Tabor and I'm a professional recording artist (singer, songwriter, and producer) based in Los Angeles, CA. I'm also an experienced musician and live performer with over 20 years of study and industry experience. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or analyze music**. Students are instilled with technique, work ethic, real-world business knowledge, and confidence so they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep focusing on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help you better express yourself. Every student gets a handcrafted curriculum that is specifically catered to meet their goals and needs, and of course, that I hope is fun too! Singing is one of the most vulnerable things a person can do!–which is why it's so important to me that I provide not only criticism and critique, but also praise and validation. I've learned that we do our best work when we can feel hopeful, proud, and supported in our individuality. We can only improve by putting ourselves out there, which means you failing (a lot!). From lesson one, I will begin instilling you with knowledge and confidence, while always providing you opportunities to build up your independence. I will be right there with you in the trenches, celebrating your wins with you, calling you out on your excuses, and reminding you to recognize both the big and small changes as you move closer to your goals. I generally work with adults and teens (ages 16 and up) who are looking to build a career in the music and entertainment industry and/or have a serious passion for music. I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with a huge variety of backgrounds and interests–from complete beginners with no musical background or training to professional performing artists. Singing is a skill, and any skill can be learned with the right time and attention. If you show up once a week and put in the work, I guarantee that you will not only see improvement in your technical skills, but will also become a more confident singer within the first month of starting lessons. So what are you waiting for?? Let's do this! Jameson PS. I also offer the option of accompanying my students on the keyboard during lessons at no additional cost. **Reading music and music theory knowledge is useful, but not required.
I am an accomplished vocal coach and songwriter and currently work with a wide variety of singers from young beginners to professionals who look to develop through ear training, singing and songwriting. In a unique way I guide people to become better performers and musicians through the combination of voice, piano and composition. I also work with pianists and guitarists to help them use their instruments for better singing and ear training.
I teach beginners to professionals and everyone in between. All genres taught and good proper technique applied to all styles. I teach projection, resonation, good intonation/pitch, pure clear tonal quality, training of ear and eye(reading music), expressive singing, flexibility/agility of range, and expanding range, stage presence, confidence, and microphone technique. I teach the foundation of Classical bel canto technique to every style for powerful, passionate singing.
PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT TEACH REGULAR SINGING LESSONS! I DO NOT TEACH VOCAL PRODUCTION, BREATH CONTROL, RANGE INCREASE OR ALL THE OTHER TYPICAL THINGS THAT SINGING TEACHERS FOCUS ON. What I DO help with are the SUPPORTIVE SKILLS aspects of singing only. Many other singing teachers send me their students for help with these difficult issues because they are my field of expertise. These include pitch control (if you sing flat), how to sing harmony, self-accompanying techniques, sight singing and performance anxiety.
I believe in the extraordinary power of music to communicate, to inspire and, often, to heal. That belief underlies all my work. I teach a powerful classical technique that allows for natural, easy and flowing vocal production founded on relaxed, energized breath that allows your voice to soar naturally and comfortably. In addition, I have extensive experience helping my students with all manner of performance anxiety and other issues. I'm kind and patient and want you to shine. My goal is to help you find the power to express through singing your unique self. It doesn't matter whether your voice is professional quality or whether it's even "good" in the conventional sense. It's YOUR voice. It has its own sound and characteristics, its own particular beauty, and the world needs to hear you! I believe in the extraordinary power of music to communicate, to inspire and, often, to heal. That belief underlies all my work. I’ve been a classical singer for 30 years and have sung leading soprano roles with the Caramoor Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, the Britten/Aldeburgh Festival, Glimmerglass Opera, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's, among many others. The fundamentals of vocal technique underlie all my teaching, but the individual approach is tailored to each student, whatever his or her age or experience. My goal is to help you find the power to express through singing your unique self. It doesn't matter whether your voice is professional quality or whether it's even "good" in the conventional sense. It's YOUR voice. It has its own sound and characteristics, its own particular beauty, and the world needs to hear you! I have advanced training and expertise in musical study and vocal pedagogy, but the most important qualities I offer as a teacher are the simple human ones: understanding, patience, imagination, kindness, enthusiasm, respectfulness and absolute commitment to helping you meet your vocal goals.
