This was my first piano lesson in 50 years. It was everything I hoped it would be... intellectual, fun, relaxed... and it filled me with hope that I could finally make something out of a musical instrument I left in the dust so many years ago. Jimi is wonderful to talk with and work with. This was beyond my expectations.

I’m 80 years old and play sax in a Senior band. I signed up for several lessons with Jimi Z. to improve my tone and breathing. I think Jimi did a great job with me, and I recommend Jimi for sax lessons. Dan Ginsberg

Private Singing Teacher

I work with people in regard to singing lessons since 2004 in both academic settings and private face-to-face instructions. The lesson's plans and general direction that it takes during the course of study substantially depends on the student's interests and preferences. Along with main subjects that motivates students most in taking voice lessons ( such as learning new songs from the contemporary popular repertoire, for instance), I will offer my prospective students basic training in general musicianship; this would enable people to sing, read written music, and understand the very basics of music theory. With such advantages at their hands, my students will be able to expand their singing repertoire and to move, probably, to another styles of music for singing and enjoying it for the sake of people's personal aesthetical development.

Private Singing Teacher

Healthy singing is a multifaceted endeavor. It requires synergistic engagement not only between the vocal folds and vocal tract but also between the entirety of the body and the perceptive mind, regardless of genre or style. My teaching addresses and fuses each component of this pivotal trio comprising mind, body, and voice. The result will allow your instrument to find a newfound freedom of expression, progressively giving you the increased power and the agility to emote in a multitude of styles across the vocal spectrum.

Recognizing singing as a deeply individual experience, I am a fervent advocate of student empowerment. My job is to bestow you and guide you with the fundamental technical tools that you can then use to earn the gratification of becoming your own best teacher for whatever you desire to sing. Although I specialize in classical technique and employ it as a foundational anchor, my holistic approach is adaptable across the range of age, level, and style and can be ...

I’ve really enjoyed working with Max, and have often picked his brain because I know his knowledge of the voice is so valuable. He’s a vulnerable and wonderful performer and a personable teacher who goes out of his way to keep learning- I think that makes him the best teacher! I recommend him to anyone who has a chance to be his student or work with him.

Singing:
I teach a World Famous Voice Method passed down to me by mentor the late, great Dante Pavone. Dante was born in Italy in 1910 to a famous Opera singing mother. He toured the whole world with her and they even sang with Caruso, the most famous Opera singer that ever lived. He was the first and a pioneer of popular singing. He taught everyone who was anybody including Aretha Franklin. One day there was a knock on his door and there were the Beatles! Dante would cure all wrecked voices and he cured mine, too. If you really want to learn the most solid breathing technique you will ever learn in your life you have come to the right place. I was told by one of Dante's students that singers from NY City Opera used to sneak up to Boston to study with Dante, because their teachers were ruining their voices and Dante would have to cure them. I am a rock singer, but this method works for any style or level. I can teach anyone to sing even the most tone deaf. Anyone can learn

Ms. Karen did a pretty good job, she had ideas for the lesson and provided ideas for the next lesson. She went out of her way to help me with this new idea---------"music" and "reading music." If there was any short fall in the lesson it was on my side and my preparation failings. I have no problem recommending Ms. Karen to others. Regards, JC

Extremely knowledgeable! Karen is a superb guitar instructor. Honestly, I was struggling. Discouraged! She helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses, and moved me from beginner to intermediate in a matter of months. If you’re getting tired of learning from YouTube and smart phone apps, let Karen kick start your guitar playing. You’ll be glad you did. Thanks Karen!!

"Firstly, Eric understood what my issues are after doing a few warm-up exercises. However, because he hears my problems, he helps me to go work them, even I'm off key at times. Secondly, he's punctual and precise. Lastly, I believe that at the end of these lessons, I will be a better singer than when I first started working with Eric."

"The greatest experience I've had with singing.
I was a complete beginner when I came to Val for vocal training, with no experience or any technique. In a very short amount of time he helped me find my voice, taught me all the basics, gave me useful exercises for me to practice on my own, and built a very specific training suited to my voice. All of this in the greatest atmosphere, positive and constructive. He's professional and dedicated. I've accomplished great progress with his help and recommend it to you all. You won't be disappointed."

Teaching Singing Lessons in Natick, MA

By Holly C.-Natick Singing Teacher

Hi guys! I'm Holly and I've been teaching voice and theater with Take Lessons for several months now in Natick, MA. I spent most my youth living in North Carolina, but moved back to Massachusetts when I was 18. I've been involved with musical theater, a capella and choral groups, and performing since I was a young girl. In some way, shape or form I knew I'd be involved with music when I got older.

Teaching is everything I thought it would be and more. My singing students are the highlight of my weeks and we continue to learn from each other everyday. My students come from all walks of life with so many different goals, but all centered on the appreciation of music. Recently, one of my students had her very first audition for Rent in New Y

ork. Having the opportunity to be a part of that with her was amazing! I like to motivate my students to always be working towards something. Also, I try get them to sing at open mic nights, auditions, or recitals I plan. Performing is a rewarding way for my students to show off their lungs and perfect their performances. Hope to see you soon and keep singing!
