I have been teaching professionally for more than 10 years. I can teach a total beginner and I can guarantee the profound change in his skill level (regardless of his age), after 2 months of the attentive following of my instructions. I like to watch the progress of my student and this is what brings me the best satisfaction in my occupation.
I think that every human being is unique with his own unique way of thinking and perception of the common things. When teaching, I believe in dialogue, for this reason, I never record my lessons on video, except for the promotional needs. I like to meet new students, to understand their way of thinking and to invent the individual teaching approach or methodology for each one of them.

About Danil

I am an academically trained professional artist with the overall working experience of about 20 years and an impressive record of exhibitions (two of them are museum one-man shows) in the USA and abroad. I am teaching in three languages: ENGLISH, HEBREW and RUSSIAN, representational, realist,

I was very lucky to take private lessons with Danil - after only a few of them I had a clear systematic approach to my drawing process. I very much appreciate analytical way of work in art, and that’s what Danil was doing greatly : he sharpens the tools while keeping your individuality. Highly recommended!

My lessons are taught in the classical tradition, focusing on realism and aesthetics. Students are provided with the practical tools to depict light, form, space, and materiality, as well as with with the conceptual tools to compose compelling artworks that express their personal vision. I tailor my lessons to individual students’ level, from fundamentals to advanced techniques. Through working on their pieces, students learn to master shapes, values, edges, media handling and color-mixing. Advanced students focus on practical application of color theory and on composition design.

About Ken

I am a NYC-based professional artist and educator with a background in classical painting and printmaking. Imparting artistic knowledge and cultivating creativity are an inseparable part of my work, I love seeing students excel and achieve their painterly goals. Over my years of teaching I became h

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Ken is extremely talented in perceiving every student’s individual needs. When he gives feedback, it is not formulaic but actually tailored to the work I have done and the improvements I have made. This means that with each exercise completed, I am still learning new things about myself and my drawing instead of just repeating a technique brainlessly. These drawing classes have left a lasting mark on my art practice!

I've been doing water color painting for years and would love to help you. For the basics of watercolor you'll learn color theory, how to use paint brushes, techniques etc. The beginner lessons are more organized lessons and structured to go over the basics.

Intermediate lessons are for you to paint and for me to guide you through your work. This is completely up to you.

About Lily

I am a classically trained artist and I teach traditional methods of representational drawing. I’ve taught at several local ateliers as well as internationally through the State Department’s Art In The Embassies program. I can help you learn about perspective, line, volume, and composition in an a way that is easy to understand. My teaching style is rich with experience and information but also very low key and unintimidating. Also— I’m really fun! Come draw with me!

I am both self-taught and studied again at various art schools, including the Art Students League of NY, Rhode Island School of Design, and the School of Visual Arts in NYC. I will be receiving my BFA from SVA in mid-2020.

I can help you understand Drawing and Painting inside and out. I can help you understand the key fundamental elements of art that will allow you to make the best works at the very best of your ability. Those fundamental elements of art include color theory, anatomy, perspective, and composition. I even wrote an article about color theory for a street art magazine (Look up "Color Theory" at Up Mag).

I can help you learn how to choose colors for the right situations and contexts. Color is a very complex endeavor, but if you learn it with me you will get to know and see color through experience of using the right colors, and the experience will feed into your perception of choosing the right colors, which will then enhance your experience of using colors, and so on.

About Chunbum

Hello! I am very enthusiastic about learning and teaching art. I came to USA from South Korea when I was a kid and wanted to study math and science! But, finding out that I was terrible in those two subjects, I felt unhappy and lost. Art was my way to stand out from the crowd, and it rescued me fro

"My classes with Professor McNeil were amazing. While her courses are not easy, they are extremely rewarding. She has an uncanny ability to make otherwise difficult techniques achievable, easy to understand and fun to practice. While taking her classes, through her way of teaching I wanted to paint more, draw more and felt confident to do it. I cannot dream up a better teacher, she is patient, inspiring, and pushes you to try new techniques in a way that you don't realise until you're practicing them. If you take her classes you'll only want to take more."

Photoshop vs. Lightroom for Editing Time-Lapse Photography

Once you've done your time-lapse photography, how should you edit it all together? Here, Pasadena, CA teacher Nathan H. shares his recommendations, plus the pros and cons of using Photoshop and Lightroom...   So you just finished your amazing time-lapse of the sky.
